THE COMIC

NIKOLAI is the authorized comic biography of Croatian wrestling legend, Nikolai Volkoff, 2005 WWE Hall of Famer, former WWF Tag Team Champion, and former partner of the Iron Sheik! Along with Bruno Sammartino, Nikolai was the first professional wrestler to sell out Madison Square Garden. Written by John Crowther (Antarctic Press’ Rochelle), this story of Nikolai’s life is based on in-depth interviews and intimate conversations between the writer and the wrestler.

THE CREATORS

John E. Crowther

John is the writer and creator of Rochelle, which debuted as Rochelle: The Teen Cockroach#0 with AC Comics in March 2015, and is currently an ongoing series with Antarctic Press, having debuted to great reviews in August 2016.

Dell Barras

Dell is an industry legend, amassing over 40 years experience in the comic book industry with DC Comics, Marvel UK , Antarctic Press, AC Comics, and Heroic Comics on many titles, including Rochelle, Conan the Barbarian, The Amazing Spider Man, Blue Beetle and Death’s Head II. Dell has also worked extensively as a storyboard artist for Warner Brothers, Dreamworks, Nickelodeon, Disney, Fox Family, Marvel Films, Cartoon Network, Hanna Barbara, and 20th Century Fox, on such titles as Transformers: The Movie, Shark’s Tale, Buzz Lightyear, The Amazing Spider Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Incredible Hulk, Avengers, Silver Surfer, and The New GI Joe.

Andrew Pate

Andrew is a comic book colorist living in Panama City, Florida. He has been working in independent Comics and Game Design since 2014. He has worked on several published and soon to be published comics including Wannabe Heroes, Edison and New Life for Primary Target Press, and the colors for the board game Last Stand for Woodtop Worlds.
