A Dark Comedy about a kid with an imaginary friend….. who happens to be a serial killer… help them get it to SAN DIEGO COMIC CON!

TOMMY is a story about a little kid with an imaginary friend… except his imaginary friend is a serial killer! That’s Tommy’s reality – but now he means to change it!

In the premiere issue of this 3-part miniseries, we are introduced to the cast of Tommy’s world, including the joyless Principal Crabtree, his woozy mother Sharon, and his “pet” rabbit Jack, a mean-spirited and relentless taskmaster who is ruining the boy’s life while trying to “help” him.

Issue 2 opens with the most dreaded thing that could happen to a kid? THE PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCE! Things take an even darker turn for Tommy as he confronts his bleeding-heart teacher and his bled-out mother!

Issue 3 is the ROCKING CONCLUSION to the acclaimed series! Will Jack conquer Tommy’s mind and exact his revenge at school? Havoc erupts as the final showdown against Principal Crabtree ensues. Can Tommy’s big-hearted teacher ultimately prevail and save the school as well as Tommy’s soul? Or will Jack win at his game of death?

Why do this Kickstarter?

We currently have a booth at San Diego Comic-Con, and want to be able to get TOMMY out to a wider audience. This means a big print run, especially of the long awaited issue 3, plus special runs of 1 and 2, and getting out butts to SDCC to show the world!

Why do this project?

TOMMY was born of a brainstorm session (meaning pizza and beer) between John Ulloa and Juan Navarro, talking about their childhood, and how awesome, but also rotten it was. Raised in the 70s and 80s, it was a different time, and teachers were a different thing. Nothing is worse than being a kid, and not being heard! So this became a story a story that for the last few years, has been loved by so many!
