Gonna be a CRAZY busy weekend for me THIS weekend at Wizard World Austin! As I close out my convention circuit of the year, I’m making sure that the whole “Hardest Working Man in Comics” goes until the lights go out – here’s where you can find me:

FRIDAY:
Comic Shop Talk 5-5:45pm (Rm4): Thor is unworthy and Cap is hailing Hydra! Batman watches the Watchmen and Supes has a kid! IllumniNERDI All-Stars, Victor Dandridge and Ryan Ball bring the latest comic news in a spoiler-filled convo that dares to discuss why DC has gone dark and Marvel so controversial!

So Bad, They’re Great 6-6:45pm (Rm 5): Why do people love cheesy movies? Is it because we all want to play Mystery Science Theater 3000 in our own homes? What does it take to make a movie so bad — it’s HILARIOUS? Travis Langley, Victor Dandridge, Katrina Hill, Eric Bailey, and Alex Langley invite you to join them in the fun as they explore the masterpieces of inept moviemaking!

Marvel vs DC: The Great Debate 7:30-8:30pm (Rm 6): Which company has better heroes, villains, cartoons, movies, storylines, etc? Join comic industry pros, cosplayers, and professional nerds as they discuss all aspects of this age old rivalry and with the help of the crowd — declare a winner!

Wizard World Welcome Party 9:30-1am (Hops&Heroes): Come join us for a night full of music, drinks, food and fun, as Wizard World and Hops & Heroes Comics gives thanks to YOU! Victor Dandridge will be hosting trivia and our famous Drink & Draw competition. Free drinks and free play arcade games ALL NIGHT! FREE with your Wizard World wristband — must be 18+ (Accepting canned good donations at the door for Heroes for Hunger Food Drive).

SATURDAY:
Ain’t that a Bat to the Head: A CONversation with Michael Cudlitz 12-12:45pm (Ballroom A)

VIPs of Self-Publishing 1-1:45pm (Rm 7): Self-publishing creator, Victor Dandridge, with special guests Sean McKeever and Vernon Smith, head a forum-style discussion on the practices of self-publishing comic books. Guided with his own years of experience as both a comic book fan and creator, Victor aims to lead this discussion, interacting with the attending audience to share ideas for comic book production, marketing and distribution.

It’s Morphin Time! A CONversation with Jason David Frank 2:30-3:15pm (Rm 5)

The Dark Knight RENDERS 5-5:45 (Creative Stage): Pointy-ears and a cape, do a Batman make, but how do today’s creative superstars put THEIR stamp on the visuals for the Dark Knight? Watch as Mike S. Miller (Injustice) and Jonathan Glapion (Dark Metal) show you how THEY bring their vision of Batman to life!

Wizard World Costume Contest 7-9pm (Ballroom A): Hosted by our very own superhero Victor Dandridge, the Wizard World Comic Con Costume Contest is no joke. The best of the best will be dressed to impress in their superhero & pop culture finest, so be prepared for some serious cosplay. Grab your buddies and suit up to take a chance at bringing home the gold!

Animators Round Up 1-1:45 (Rm 5): From Saturday mornings to after-school adventures, cartoons have shaped childhoods across the world for decades! We’ve gather some of the industry’s top talents for a look behind the curtain at what it takes to bring their drawings and words to your tv screens!
