The7Deadly   Questions

14063786_699260286891964_5086861901517865665_nWhat is your proudest creation?
I will have to say OBS•KU•RA. It was my first published project handling both Writing and Art chores.

What Indie comic book Title are you currently a huge fan of?
I gravitate towards the art first, so basically anything Sean Murphy is working on, and I’m a huge fan.

14324188_707897409361585_7280555374266718937_oWhat has been your favorite project to work on and why?
GODSTORM HERCULES published by Zenescope Entertainment. I had the opportunity to work a Superhero type of comic with the touch of good heart felt characterization thanks to Pat Shand’s approach.

13466308_667791440038849_7827851845521645152_nIs sexuality focused on too much in comic books?
Sexuality is certainly a topic present in every media we interact with and comics are not exempt. The degree in which it is used or abused varies from Publisher to Publisher. Personally, I try my best to stay away from it and concentrate on delivering well-crafted and strong storytelling.

13938414_690613241090002_6510230414856469005_nDo you think fan art is law breaking or is it simply what the fans want?
The definition of Fan Art nowadays had change a lot. What started as homage images shared only to portrait the love to a character, story or creator has turn into unlicensed Prints and collateral material to make a profit? Commission work should be the right way to address the Fans needs to experience their love further.

14192750_702067626611230_6116462671260795603_nIf you won the lottery and could buy any character you hate just to kill them who would it be and why?
I don’t know if he is still alive but I would have to say Ambush Bug. C’mon, do I have to say why?

13882085_687985414686118_1987822940621700556_nWhat is a mistake you made in your early years that our readers can learn form?
Trying to please everyone with my work was my biggest mistake. It even took my learning curve to an extremely slower pace. Like a lot of aspiring comic book artists I showed my Portfolio everywhere I went and had the opportunity to participate. After reviews, I tried to apply 14322697_705932836224709_1717367541386471715_nand do everything everyone said. In time I learned that not everything that was given to me as Objective Criticism needed to be addressed. Today I listen and keep in mind to everything people say about my work but only apply to my craft and future projects when it makes perfect sense to me.

13962653_689040724580587_6341407607057094714_nWell done AC OSORIO you have a single paragraph to tell us why we should become fans and what you are working on now:

“I love comics. Both fan and artist are together when handling each story. As I mention earlier, I gravitate towards good art and craft. You can be assured that every page inside each project I work on is handle with much respect and with the idea to go even further. Today I’m working on the final issues of OBS•KU•RA and I cannot way for you to experience the conclusion of this out of this world kind of a ride.”-ALBERTO CORTES OSORIO14237572_707019726116020_8773551038685404745_n
