Would you rather get paid to draw your favorite character for the rest of yourlife or create the next big thing?
Create the next big thing. There is more of an opportunity to express yourself. Carrying the torch on your favorite character would be cool, but to make your character become someone’s favorite means so much more.
What is your most prized possession? The 1 thing you own that would devastate you if it were stolen, damaged or lost?
I don’t place much value on my possessions, as they can be replaced. My family and friends mean the most to me, but I certainly do not own them.
As a man, how do you view how women are portrayed in comics and what changes if any would you suggest ?
I enjoy a well drawn woman as much as the next person, but they have to be more than that. I think comics and art in general have historically paved the way toward evolution of minds in our society. It should always strive to do the same. There has been much debate for ages regarding the roles of women, homosexuals, (insert group here), etc. I think comics need to treat people as people. Keeping the struggles, conversations, and debates we have in life on the page, without preaching a viewpoint, just telling the story, is a fine line that makes a great story. A woman or (insert any people group) should be able to be any character in a comic, great hero, anti-hero, villain, set dressing, alien, turncoat, whatever.
Do you feel comics cover modern topics in a respectful way?
The good ones are able, the bad ones aren’t, and there are good and bad that do not approach modern topics at all.

What character would you like to see die and stay dead forever?
Perma-death is a bit harsh as I think I’d rather be given the opportunity to make a character better. In the right hands, even Jar Jar Binks could be a great character.
What Comic book series do you hope returns that is currently out of print?
The Longbow Hunters. Green Arrow has made a resurgence, why not this?

Currently, Yuki Kaminari is editing an unnamed visual novel written by Vier Kun, and is creating a manga that cannot be named yet. I am currently working on a video game called Celtica Chronicles, and looking for other artists and writers to collaborate with on this project.
