It’s August already, and that means exciting things are in store for Village Comics. The Trade edition of Alter-Life is finished, and one its way across the ocean to my doorstep. So, next month I should have copies available for purchase online!

Meanwhile, we are pushing forward with our next project, NOOK. This one is really turning out to be something special. With all of the amazing artwork and fantastic rewards we have planned for the Kickstarter, you’ll want to make sure to stop by the Kickstarter Preview Page and check it out, and don’t miss the 15 page preview I’m exclusively sending to readers of this email and friends and family.

Exciting things are happening, and I can’t wait to start a new chapter in my creative career. With the Alter-Life trade in hand, I will be tabling at New York City Comic Con in October, Gengis Con in Cleveland in November, and Steel City Con just outside of Pittsburgh in December. I hope I get to meet more of your amazing fans and readers along the way.

Thanks again for all of the support, I hope you look us up on the 26th on Kickstarter to help this new series start with a bang!

    KICKSTARTER PREVIEW

    NOOK PART 1

    Coming to Kickstarter August 26th

A family escapes WWII Germany only to discover their new home on the border of France is haunted by a dark past and a cat named Nook.

This story is a culmination of demented dreams, family history, and my love for Guillermo del Toro’s style of storytelling. From The Devil’s Backbone to Pan’s Labyrinth and Crimson Peak, I love the way he uses ghosts and mystical creatures to create an atmosphere of terror to reflect deeper meanings and develop tragic stories.

I’m always intrigued by stories that appear to be scary on the surface but have many more layers and meanings. Nook is inspired by these stories, and I hope when you experience it you will discover that there is much more to this little tale than meets the eye.
