I hope you’ve enjoyed all the cool glimpses I’ve been sharing with you. Don’t forget you can see more at the Cthulhu Kids Facebook Page!

So, what is the comic all about? Well, it all started with a question:

What would a Lovecraftian school for naughty offspring look like?

Peter Duncan, the writer, came of up with the concept forThe Miskatonic Academy for Outer Entities- the most exclusive school in the multiverse for the children of Elder Things and Outer Gods!

Essentially, it’s a mash up of vintage kids comics and the existential terror of an infinite universe!

As a collaborative team we had two main motivations to make this comic. One is a childhood love of the British, anarchic school kid comics of our youth. The other, as an adult, is grasping the enormity of existence and the existential terror that comes with it! That is why Lovecraft is so important to us. Wouldn’t it be ideal to combine the two of them?

Cthulhu Kids brings these two passions together. The naughty offspring of classic Mythos characters are brought together in Class 2B and spread havoc and terror where ever they go. The comic is a collection of short stories that explore the Mythos universe through a humorous lens. Stories like ‘The King In Yellow’ where the class put on a school production that sends the whole audience insane or ‘School Photo’ where the class play an awful prank on Teach demonstrate our love for the genre with a twist of daft jokes.

The Kickstarter will have a whole range of great pledge perks from signed editions to hand painted models of Kid Cthulhu, with some variant covers, mini-prints and a load more cool stuff!

One of the best is membership of ‘The Kid Cthulhu Myths Madness Club’. Membership to this notorious club comes with an exclusive members only sticker set, numbered membership card and your name on the ‘Thank You/ Membership Page’.

But hey! Have you checked out the 17 page preview yet?

So there you go! Even after 12 crowd-funding campaigns I still get the jitters before I launch! I hope you can jump on board the madness this week!

What are you looking forward to? What would like to see in the Kickstarter? Let me know!

Shine on!

Andrew
