Introduction

BIO: At the heart of it I am a simple artist. Brush, paint, and canvas are my tools. I have been a portrait artist since 1983, primarily graphite (pencil).
In 1994 I started to paint with oils and acrylics, I also took a job picture framing to be near the art world. I continued to learn and became a Master Certified Framer.
In 2005 at age 40,  I went to college and earned my Bachelors of Fine Art.
In the spring of 2012 I was teaching a drawing class at a local art gallery. After a few weeks a student/friend who took my class to learn to draw the T.A.R.D.I.S. better said to me “Dimitri I know you watch and love all the same shows and movies I do. Supernatural, Firefly, Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, and all the comic book movies. I have been to your website. Why don’t you have any Fan Art?
And I said “What’s Fan Art?”

4 years and over 500 fandom based  paintings and drawings later and the rest is history.
