Got busy yesterday and I missed the day 3 post so you get 2-for-1 today! More of the process… check out the transformation from roughs to inks and from inks to colors! The colors are by Oracle – he is outstanding and every bit a part of the world that is the Suck! I love it because I get to see the script from Keith Thomas (R.I.P.) and “make my movie” in the form of visuals and storytelling! Once I’m happy with that part, it’s off to the colorist and it’s so cool as an artist to see someone else’s interpretation of costume colors and the environment. Sometimes it’s exactly what I had pictured but most of the time it’s something unexpected and wildly more stunning than I ever thought! The entire series of Into the Suck is a collaboration that, I think, holds it’s own against any book out there! And that isn’t meant to be bragging – it’s actually a tip-o-the-hat to all the truly talented creators out there! All of you inspire me to be better with every image I draw, ink and/or color! Ok – ’nuff about that – if you haven’t been spreading the word about Into the Suck – I call upon all of you to help make this series a possibility and get the word out!
