In Case you missed it Magneto a Holocaust survivor is now going to be affiliated with Hydra which is at its Core the NAZI Agenda. YEAH. Now we all know there will be a twist and Marvel will undo all they are doing now with another fucking reboot, but for now we are faced with a company that has lost its touch and now will do anything to make a buck. Seriously. Does anyone running Marvel now or at anytime picked up and read an issue of X-Men or Captain American?? This is sad story telling. And while Marvel will tell you how Far Hydra has distance it self from the Nazi’s roots we are collective left to call Bullshit because we know better.
I know Marvel Comic is now are grasping and straws and want to shock the people and do things never done before. And you know I think they should do just that, I want them to do something NEW by committing to age their characters and have them grow old with a generation that reading them. Yeah have them change and evolve and gasp have kids. STOP FUCKING REBOOTING THEM. I know the argument ‘but if we don’t do these things sales will slump’ well guess what sunshine you’re sales are slumping. Your stories are weak.
They are weak because they are based on Hollywood studio executives ideas and worries over sales. Remember when Marvel was kicking Ass in the 1960’s? Yeah they where on the Brink of the end of the company and they created stories the wanted to tell and did not care how many people wanted them. They wrote fearless stories and created new ideas and worlds.
Now I love Marvel and that is why I am so critical over this topic, because I know in my heart they can do better and I and my many fellow Marvel FANS EXPECT BETTER. What you are doing to characters is offensive and stupid at this point. The List of Hydra agents now will include the Hulk and Starlord. STOP!!! Take a breath and go back to telling stories and not selling the comics. If you do this I promise the Comic book fans will embrace you.
While I do agree that we need to see new Characters and fresh ideas, I don’t know if I’m super upset about these twists. I haven’t read much of X-Men lately so I can’t comment on that, but I’m actually quite enjoying Cap right now. Not as good as the Winter Soldier run, or the run with Bucky-Cap… but still enjoyable. That line coupled with what happened just before hit me like a jack hammer and my jaw was on the floor. I stood around the shop for an hour so I could read my copy the instant it was put in my file. How they’re doing it makes sense and has huge implications which we see as Steve’s World begins to unravel around him leading to a dark place that we’ve not really seen Cap go to.
Now, reboots piss me off. I would much rather see them write their way out of this, then some Secret Wars/Doom-World BS for certain.
