Comic creator Ben Dunn has long wanted to see a resurgence of the classic superhero genre; a return to the kind of comics we saw in the silver and bronze ages. It was that desire that inspired him to launch the Superverse, a line of superhero comics which will be premiering in 2019 through Antarctic Press.

This graphic novel will lay the foundation to the Superverse. However, it is not just another superhero book. In fact, it’s something entirely new and different. The story begins in the gritty streets of 1975 New York City. We meet Detectives Frank Barnes and Joe Reeds as they try to uncover why Cal Martin, a former actor famous for playing the character Rocket Man, was murdered in a cheap Uptown hotel. But what starts as a noir,  Starsky-and-Hutch-style murder/mystery, gradually morphs into a fantastic adventure that will open the doors to the Superverse.
