This issue was written by Alex Segura (Archie) and Chantel Acevedo (Muse Squad), with art by Richard Ortiz (DC Bombshells), colors by Ellie Wright (Black Ghost), letters by Taylor Esposito (Daredevil) and editing by Janelle Asselin (DC Entertainment, Disney, ComicsAlliance, Rosy Press).

All proceeds from this comic will be donated to A&M Comics in Miami, Florida

To go along with the release of Principios, we have a message from Alex Segura: Chantel, Richard and I wanted to create a character that was literally and figuratively forged by fire. Carly isn’t just another teen hero – she’s a girl who’s overcome a lot, and has chosen not to be broken by it. She’s funny, driven, and sharp. The Fantastic Flame is our attempt to create a new, modern hero that celebrates the trappings of the genre but with a vibrant YA twist. We hope people enjoy this teaser. — Alex Segura
