The7Deadly Questions

The Ambition SmDo you every wonder if you are just a creation of a writer and your playing a part?  Or do you think you have control of  your destiny?
What a great question. This question gets to the core of our world view and I’ve been looking into this question for many years from all the different great thinkers’ perspective that I could find. I’m a strong believer in freewill. As Humans we do not have the ability to choose the situations we face we merely choose how we react to them. So I think that part of our reality is written, in so much that we are here and there are rules that we are subject to. Like I must put gas in my gas tank not banana peels. LOL That being said I can chose how I act according to the rules or what has already been written and to some degree chose my destiny. So yes, my answer is most defiantly I do believe in both. Was that a choice or did I chose to cheat?

Who are the creators who have inspired you to become a creator?
Too many to mention but here are some off the top of my head. God, M.C. Escher, Norman Rockwell, Salvador Dali, Bill Sienkiewicz, Barry Windsor Smith, Steve Ditko, G. K. Chesterton, J.R.R. Tolkien, Douglas Adams, John Huston, Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott, James Cameron, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd, Ennio Morricone, James Horner, Bear McCreary, and my mom who introduced, encouraged, and hooked me into being creative.

What comic book series would you enjoy the opportunity to do a crossover arch with?
Enders Game was adapted into a comic and would be cool. The X-Men is also an intriguing universe to play in.

Your comic book is about  a realm of imagination and  as a realm of  imagination how much does sex come into play considering sex is always part imagination part execution??
Pham & Lau Final cover SmSex and sexuality are so intrinsically connected to most every aspect of our lives in some way or another. Having the power to bring great joy and new life or extreme suffering and death. I’m not interested in writing gratuitous sex for many reasons. One is that it’s extremely cliché especially in comics and I’m also not a fan of objectifying people. I am interested in exploring the real life consequences of sex as technology advances.

What has been the worse thing said to you about your project and how did you handle it ?
Someone told me they don’t like it. So I ended their life with a rubber mallet!

What are your most ambitious goals for this project??
Well the first one is to make an entertaining professional quality book that I will be proud of even 30 years from now. Second would be to eventually start making a profit (lol someday) enough to then quit my day job to do this full time!

MAN'S ETHEREAL CREATION Lau SmWhat is a mistake you made in your early years that our reader can learn form and not repeat  by learning from you?
I’ve made so many and continue too. Just remember it’s impossible not to make mistakes. I guess I would warn anyone as to how much time and money it takes to do a serious book. I keep hearing this in my research but now that I’m living it it’s all too real and painful. “I’m not afraid!” Luke “You will be, you will be!” Yoda.
