THROW BACK THREAD: The Code of Conduct for your Pop up business in Artist Alley. .

I hope to create a guideline for  creators to be use to better understand how to run a business like a retailer and not as a creator.  The mintue you deicde to sell something and have a table at a con you just opened a store. Stores have rules and standards so they can succeed. I want you all to succeed. You might think well no one can fire me, well your wrong. At a con all those people will have a change to fire you.  Because your job is make them a fan.  And fans are the bosses of creators. After all they will employee you, pay you and give you feed back that will influence you. Stop looking at your table as yours it’s not. It’s a business. This is not about your feeling this is about being better Bussiness Men and Women.
Now 1st like Bray Watt would ask Why you? What makes you so special?. I have been in retail management since  I was 19.  I was doing this through out 3 decades and have had formal training from multiply 500 company’s.  So I know how to sell and display.  It’s part of who I am.  I walk artist alley and I see the mistakes that cost creators  sales. That what I did for a lifetime I made bussienss profitable.  During the dark times after The fall out of the stocks where money was tight I posted record profits for a photo lab.  This is when all other Bussiness where failing and photo as we knew began to die.  So I know somethings that can help.
But it can’t be only my voice and it won’t be. I will be reaching out and this will be a collaborative   Process that will be done over at very least a few weeks. So yes we want everyone’s feed back. We want to hear what you think works and doesn’t. We want to make this something easy to embrace.  It should not be longer than 12 pages and a free resource online that if you want you can print.
So that’s the goal lest get started.
